With Christmas just 7 weeks away, we’ve decided to bring some festive cheer into your homes with our Countdown to Christmas event!

In a nutshell, we’ll be giving away wonderful prizes with our Virtual Advent Calendar Raffle, thanks to the overwhelming level of support from countless local businesses in the Holme Valley and beyond generously donating lots of fabulous prizes. This means that there will be a minimum of two prizes up for grabs on each day of the Countdown to Christmas Advent draw. In fact, there are so many prize donations that we’ve had to pop the list of businesses on our website, which you can access here, https://upperthong.org.uk/christmas-raffle-2

We will draw the raffle for the dates of the 23rd and 24th of December on the 22nd. Don’t worry, there will be allocated prizes for each of these days, but just to help with collection and distribution of the prizes, the last draw will be 22nd December.

All we need now is for members of our lovely community to support our fundraising endeavours by purchasing raffle tickets to enter the daily prize draw. This will help to fill the fundraising gap in this year’s target, which is vitally needed to support the ongoing upkeep of the hall during these challenging times.

How to enter
To purchase raffle tickets and be in with a chance of winning one of our Countdown to Christmas Advent prizes, simply head over to our donation platform https://www.totalgiving.co.uk/appeal/countdowntochristmas
Tickets will be on sale right up until the final draw on 24 December. Each raffle ticket will cost £3, or you can increase your chances of winning by purchasing four tickets for £10.
When your money has been processed through the donation platform, a member of the committee will email you with the number(s) of your raffle tickets. We’ll get onto this as soon as we can, but please be patient if there’s a bit of a delay.
Our aim is to publish the draw live on Facebook each day, with the winning numbers also published on the Upperthong Village Hall website and our Instagram page. If you haven’t heard from us and you have a winning number, feel free to give us a prompt by calling…
As in any raffle, once your number is drawn it is then taken out of the draw but remember you can purchase more tickets if you still want to be in with another chance of winning.

Simply log onto Total Giving and ensure you’re on the Virtual Raffle page
Click the Donate button and then enter the donation value – £3 will purchase one ticket or it’s four tickets for £10. You can purchase as many as you like!
When asked for donation type please enter as a ‘one off’. The Appeal type is ‘virtual raffle’.
In the comments box please enter the word “Raffle” and the number of tickets you have requested.
Please enter ‘no’ to Gift Aid, as we can’t claim Gift Aid on a raffle.
Finally, please ensure you’ve ticked to agree to the T&Cs.
Once the donation has been confirmed, we’ll be in touch with you to confirm your raffle ticket numbers.
