Upperthong Village Hall is a facility which is held in trust for the benefit of the villagers. The Friends of Upperthong Village Hall are a registered charity (No 1027546) and members of the committee meet regularly.

Maintenance and basic upkeep costs are significant. It currently costs @ £7000 p.a. to run the hall for the benefit of the community with costs being met through; local community group hires, fundraising events (such as wine tasting and comedy nights) and hiring the Hall out for parties. The Hall is run by a team of around 12 volunteers who manage bookings, manage maintenance, staff the bar for parties and run fundraising events.
