The fundamental principles of mat Pilates include:

  • Breathing
  • Concentration
  • Control
  • Centring
  • Precision
  • Flow

This class is aimed to improve posture, balance, flexibility, Joint mobility & stability, increase core strength, flatten the stomach & improve coordination, increase muscular strength, endurance & tone, reduce lower back pain & helps to reduce stress.

The class is mat based, with the occasional use of equipment such as resistance bands.

The class is open to all levels from beginners to more advanced participants. Various options of each exercise are taught throughout the class, which enables everyone to work at their own level.

Participating in Pilates exercises on a regular basis really will improve your day to day life, from walking upstairs, picking things up off the floor, playing with your children or grandchildren.

Please do not hesitate to come along and have a go, you will be amazed how much better you will feel at the end of the class, both physically & mentally.
